Diamond released their sales numbers over the weekend and ICv2 has extrapolated those and determined actual unit sales: Top 300 Comics Actual and Top 300 Graphic Novels Actual. These numbers are for Diamond’s direct sales in North America only and don’t include Diamond UK or the bookstore market. It’s worth reading the additional information under the sales charts.
For the purposes of the AE Index, where we record initial sales month, two Artist Edition style books published in July 2016 made the sales chart.

For the material presented these represent low sales numbers, but are high for this year’s AE sales overall. Jack Kirby’s The Mighty Thor Artist’s Edition was the first AE to be pushed by IDW in the form of a video presentation by Scott Dunbier and a preview on their site. The combination of Star Wars and Al Williamson present two favourites for older fans.
