Trending today is artist Samuel Silva who does photo realistic drawings using a ball point pen. The craftsmanship is incredible but I’m reluctant to call this art, especially if all he’s doing is coping a photograph, which any copy machine can do. The strength of art is the idea or message and without some sort of interpretive quality… well what’s the point?
