Walking Dead trades are flying off the shelves (Zombies make great gifts). Let’s see if the early issues are holding their value.

walking dead 1Walking Dead #1, Image Comics, (10/03), 2 copies graded by CGC (signature Series – Tony Moore) at 9.6 with White pages sold on eBay. The first copy sold on Dec. 6th for $252.99 while the second copy sold on Dec. 10th for 249.00. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $40.00. There are 149 CGC 9.8s of which 28 are Signature Series and 128 CGC 9.6s of which 18 are Signature Series. I’d say these sales are pretty darn good considering how many as good or better copies are available.

Walking Dead #1, Image Comics, (10/03), graded by CGC at 9.4 with White pages sold on eBay for $159.99 on Nov. 29th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $40.00. There are 149 CGC 9.8s, 128 CGC 9.6s and 66 CGC 9.4s. This price is even more impressive than the 9.6s above.

 

walking dead 2Walking Dead #2, Image Comics, (11/03), graded by CGC at 9.4 with White pages sold on eBay for $119.99 on Nov. 29th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $15.00. There are 37 CGC 9.8s, 59 CGC 9.6s and 30 CGC 9.4s. Again, lots of better copies available yet the book closed out at a very solid price.

 

 

 

 

walking dead 5Walking Dead #5, Image Comics, (2/04), graded by CGC at 9.4 with White pages sold on eBay for $37.57 on Nov. 29th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $5.00. There are 21 CGC 9.8s and 16 CGC 9.6s and 6 CGC 9.4s. Really, one would think a 9.4 wouldn’t get half of this amount.

 

 

 

 

walking dead 7Walking Dead #7, Image Comics, (4/04), graded by CGC at 9.8 with White pages sold on eBay for $59.99 on Dec 2nd. . Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $5.00. There are 20 CGC 9.8s. This auction underperformed if you put it up against the 9.4 #5 (above).
