Movies are one of my favourite topics. I own a lot of DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s (too many actually). I am so addicted to movies, it is one of my favourite things to talk about to people. It is a great ice breaker too. People are always eager to talk about movies.
So I decided to throw it out there. I sent out the message to the gang here at Comic Book Daily, and posted it on my Facebook and Twitter, for everybody’s 5 favourite comic book movies. It didn’t have to be the best movie, just their favourites. I was very surprised by the answers.

I had no doubt that Avengers would be #1 on my list. It is by far one of the best Comic Book Movies ever made. People absolutely love that movie.
There are some that I was very surprised that made the list. Punisher Warzone is an OK movie in my books. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t class it as one of my favourite 5. TMNT is another one I was surprised about. I never really think of it being a comic book movie, because I associate the property with the action figures and animated series. But as you can see on the list, it was a popular answer.
I was also glad to see some of the animated movies make it onto the list as well. I thought Batman Mask Of The Phantasm would have ranked higher on the list as well. I love that movie, but it didn’t even come to mind when I was submitting my 5 favourites.
I think my next poll will be 5 least favourite Comic Book Movies. There is no doubt in my mind that some of the favourite movies on this list, are some people’s least favourites.

It’s one of those forgotten comic book movies. Right there in between Superman IV and Swamp Thing with Adrianne Barbeau.

I had a hard time picking a fifth film. There were several films I wanted to add (Unbreakable, Super) but didn’t since they weren’t “comic” movies even though comics are an important theme. Same applies to Conan, but I honestly believe the popularity of the character at the time was due to the comics rather than the pulp fiction stories.
