Free Marvel Cartoons
The official Marvel site has a video section that is featuring a lot of Marvel cartoons from the last two decades. Highlights include Spider-Man (1967 series), The Avengers: United They Stand, X-Men: The Animated Series and lots more. Other than an annoying Marvel.com logo in the bottom right corner they’re free and nostalgic; I can’t believe how bad some of the animation is. Be sure to check out the live action Japanese Spider-Man.

I remember in about 1992 buying a video tape of Japanese Spider-Man at a con, probably in New York City. After the con, I traveled to Atlantic City for a distributor trade show. Somehow, I ended up talking to sales guys from Marvel about the show, and they didn’t believe me. They were convinced that it wasn’t really Spider-Man, it wasn’t official and I was wrong. Luckily, I had a VCR and TV set at my trade show display, so I went and got the tape and showed the Marvel guys the show. They were stunned!
The live action Spider-Man is a real treat. I encourage all to watch some episodes. Basically Marvel licensed out the character in looks alone. He wore the Spider-Man costume, but he also piloted a giant robot named Leopardon. Yes. It is exactly as awesome as it sounds.
