With the exception of maybe Alpha Flight’s Puck there has never really been a Canadian superhero as popular as Wolverine. Logan has been a hit with readers since John Byrne decided that he didn’t want the only Canadian X-Men on the team to be a total loser, so he upped the ante and made Wolvie into the loveable Canuckle head he is now, something that has lead to him appearing in pretty much every Marvel title under the stars.
Because of this reason – and, let’s be frank, many, many others – the Shuster Awards decided to ask many great comic artists to give their take on the character.
