Super Secret Trailer for Marvel’s The Siege

It’s pretty cool what you can find on YouTube these days. According to the person who posted it, it is “Marvel’s Secret trailer that was shown to us at the Diamond Retailer Summit in Baltimore tonight.” Not sure how long this will be up or if it’s supposed to be out there yet, so check it out while you can:

Just in case this has been taken down, it’s basically a summary of Bendis’ time in the Marvel Universe from House of M all the way to Dark Reign. Obviously we’re going to be seeing something finally coming from Dark Reign – a new direction or maybe things will just be getting worse. Bendis had this to say over at Comic Book Resources: “This is how the Cabal falls apart, we knew they were going to fall apart. The only question was how were they going to fall apart?”

Watch Cameron Stewart ink Catwoman

Comic Book Daily favourite and this year’s Shuster award-winner Cameron Stewart uploaded to his youtube account; a real-time account of himself digitally inking Catwoman on a Mac using Manga Studio 4.0 Ex and a Wacom Cintiq 12W. It is real-time with not a lot of sound, so below I’ve inserted a fan-video dedicated to BTAS Catwoman to the tune of Billy Joel to make everything better.

Cameron’s run on Catwoman with Ed Brubaker was one of the most underrated titles of its time. It’s not justly lauded as being a classic of the genre completely revolutionizing the way Selina Kyle was portrayed not only physically but also in terms of characterization. Stewart is the next artist on Batman and Robin with his run starting at #7 in January.

I have been waiting years to see this picture. Years. And now a I have: the Superman costume test featuring Nic Cage. The video below has lots of sketches and concept art you’ve probably seen before, and it only gets to the Cage pic at the end, but it’s worth the wait. I mean, that’s horrible looking – it looks like the superman costume I wore on Halloween underneath my layered fleece jacket.

Nic Cage looks like he’s also about as impressed, but given his choices lately it doesn’t really seem like it would have been a bad career move.

Who here thinks that Nic Cage will become the Christopher Walken of our generation

What if Stan Lee and Jack Kirby wrote Marvel Zombies back in the '63?

Sure Marvel Zombies are sort of played out now, but this? this is sort of cool. Created by YouTube user Whoiseyevan who took the concept to a whole new level splicing Marvel’s 1966 animated shorts with zombies. The creator explains it all in the YouTube listing:

“I am a big fan of the Marvel Zombies books and the covers done by artist Arthur Suydam. In creating this fan art/trailer, I wanted to capture the same irreverent-retro concept used for the covers and somehow extend it to animation. The 1966 Marvel Cartoons presented the perfect canvass… and I found the perfect clips on YouTube.”
