Kotaku reports that the firmware update for the PSP which has a built-in comic book reader has finally launched. While other things like the iphone already have comic book viewer apps in place, this will be a first for the PSP and users will be able to log into an official PSP Comic Book Store for their on the go comic fix. Of course, I’m curious as to how the distribution will work in terms of shipping dates. Will the digital copies come out every Wednesday? And doesn’t this make it even easier for online sharing of comics easier since it’s already in a digital format instead of having to scan them? It’s a cool idea anyways, but the PSP Comic Store will not be open until around December, so we’ll find out more info when there are some comics to read on the thing!
