Speaking of art… no review of Bruce Timm’s new book? I almost bought this today… only 1000 signed slip case versions apparently, but I wasn’t quite happy about the way it was printed. With current print technology… this kind of book should be vibrant and sharply registered… but it looked a little dull and soft.
Still, Bruce Timm is an incredible talent… I may regret not picking this up right away only to find myself rummaging through book stores, praying to the comic Gods that stumble upon a 1st print:

Most people see Bruce Timm’s work and see retro cartoons… but look again. The way he captures gesture make his “cartoons” look more alive than anything Alex Ross has done. He makes this stuff look effortless…
I picked it up Thursday; look for a review next week.
