Each week I try to give the Auction Highlights some sort of theme. It’s an added bonus if this theme happens to be current and topical. Bonus City this week folks as I proudly present some Halloween themed auctions and listings.
Flash Comics #78 (DC 12/46) graded by CGC at 9.2 with White Pages sold on eBay for a spooky $911.00 on Oct. 26th. The Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $1175.00. This is a gorgeous Golden Age Flash comic with a great Halloween cover. It has the best possible page quality. All this and the buyer still picked it up for less than 78% of guide. A great deal for the buyer if you ask me.
Star Wars Halloween Special (10/09 nn) graded by CGC at 9.9 with White Pages sold on eBay for a scary $69.99. This smells like a smartly timed listing. I’m not sure this comic could sell this high during any other time of the year. I say that softly since it is a Star Wars comic and we all know how hardcore Star Wars fans are, heck I know a few that actually sat through the extended version of Phantom Menace – twice!
Dell Giant #36 Little Lulu Halloween Fun (Dell 10/60) graded by CGC at 9.4 with Off White to White Pages is currently listed on an eBay store for a buy it now of $389.99. No takers yet though. The Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $225.00. The price asked for seems within the right range. If it doesn’t go by Halloween will the seller lower the price?
