The House of the Mouse and now the owners of Marvel have won approval from the Chinese government to build a Disneylaned styled themepark in Shanghai according to the New York Times. An official themepark will have a fairly large impact on a country in the midst of a recession with possibly tens of thousands of jobs being created. With Disney now owning Marvel, this could be another potential gateway for the Marvel Comic characters to gain more international recognition as they piggyback alongside the more well known Disney properties like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
