A break, A Decision And How I Collect

This past year has been a hectic one for me. Because of all the change in my life, some of my hobbies suffered and that includes comics. So, here I am, at the end of all the craziness and as my focus gets back to what it should be I realize....wow, I have a lot of comics to catch up on. Not having a pull list at my local shop has done some damage, and now my hunt for the issues missing from my collection begins.

Retailer Q | #7: Periodicals & Collected Editions

As a comics retailer how would you characterize your sales of periodical comics versus collected editions, and what kind of life these have after the initial release? How would you gauge your comic sales in relation to format? Are people "waiting for the trade" actually buying?

Collected New 52

First off every title is getting a collection of at least six issues, so DC clearly has no plans to cancel any of their New 52 titles within the first six months. Since they required books to be done well in advance I'd hazard a guess they already have at least six issues ready to go.
