Walt’s Comic Con Blues

This week Chris tries figure out why Walt isn’t doing any comic cons this year. Chris pokes, he prods, he reasons, he makes tons of good arguments for setting up at cons. The question is, will Walt listen? The show is made even better by special guest, the great Shekky Feldstein.

Please let us know what you thought of the show by leaving a comment. All we ask is that you keep things civil.

Anybody going to set up at a show this year and try to sell some excess stock?

Its almost impossible to buy old comics at Walts prime store, as they are no longer on site. If I want to collect King size Marvel annuals for instance, a convention is a far better place for me to attend. I can actually see an inventory of comics. Fewer and fewer brick and motor stores have their old comics taking up valuable retail space, Further I find conventions are often 50% of cover price, save keys, and often a far better place for collector commerce. lust as buying someone’s personal collection is yet better still. I know convention space is expensive, but I wonder if there is a better way to set up at shows? You know, 16 feet of table space with a semi of 5$ books in the parking lot? There must be a better model, just saying…
