This just struck me as odd. IDW is releasing Rocketeer Adventures Volume 1 hardcover on December 7th, and the direct market version will ship with a dust jacket. Here’s the relevant quote:
Anything to make a product unique and different appeals to collectors in general but dust jackets are the bane of book readers everywhere. This feels like direct market buyers are being punished.
“dust jackets are the bane of book readers everywhere” – How so?
I take my dust jackets off when I read my HC books.
If you have to remove something to comfortably read a book then it’s a problem.
