Undervalued Spotlight #283

Deadpool (2008 Series) Vol. 2, #45, Marvel Comics, December 2011 That new Deadpool movie has turned into a huge, and some would say, surprise hit. I don’t think anybody saw the movie doing that well especially considering the R rating…

Gibson Quarter injects energy, emotion into comic art

An explosion rings out across a landscape, the shockwaves of the blast reverberating across an open field as the splintering bits of a small shack litter the country side, joined by the flailing human bodies and dismembered body parts of those too close to the blast's detonation. Meanwhile, elsewhere, a sly little monkey smirks at their misfortune.

Deadpool #49.1

Marvel released its latest round of point-one comics last week, among them Deadpool #49.1. Like any other "point-one" issue, this was a side-story bonus for readers featuring everyone's favourite "Merc with a Mouth." If that weren't enough, the book was written as a musical. Considering that irresistible combination, the issue had to be remarked on. Onward to the review!

Fear Itself: Deadpool #1

Fear Itself is the biggest comic event this summer. Large, strong, burly chracters are getting hammers left and right, transforming into these cool god-like bad-asses. In all this you may be asking, "where's Deadpool? What's Wade up to?" To answer that question, friends, I've entertained looking at Deadpool's participation in this little summer event. It's Hamma-time!

March M.O.D.O.K. Madness!

Perhaps one of the strangest characters in the Marvel Mythos is M.O.D.O.K. Originally, the character started out as George Tarleton who created the Cosmic Cube. A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) changed Tarleton into the being known as M.O.D.O.C. (Mental Organism Designed…
